We can arrange Work Trials for our customers who are candidates for your vacancies but one or both parties want to try the job and see it meets their needs. We work closely with Jobcentre Plus and can combine this with their Work Trials scheme so the candidate can keep their benefits for the trial period, so the only costs to you are their reasonable travel expenses, though this can sometimes be met by Jobcentre Plus or Aspiro, and the time of your supervisory staff.
Aspiro has a caseload of customers who are keen to return to work, but may not quite be ready for paid employment - you can offer work placements which will help both of you. In return for training and the work experience they can gain from you, they will then put this to good use in your business for a set period.
Aspiro will offer three-way in work support to the employer as placement provider and to the trainee for as long as they work and learn in your business,
Job Retention Service
Our job retention serviceis available to purchase by employers and is an invaluable tool to help companies retain their already trained and experienced employees. Using a Job Retention Service recognises mental health problems as (potentially) a disability, thereby ensuring compliance with the Equality Act 2010, but most importantly keeping staff who often return to work and can fully contribute again to the business. It makes good business sense.
Managers' confidence training
We offer quality bespoke training for managers to help them understand how to recruit and manage potential employees who have additional needs, as well as dispelling fears and myths around mental health, so that managers do not miss potentially excellent employees who have the skills and experience you need to help your teams succeed. We also offer training to help managers effectively supervise and support new and existing employees with disabilities and/ or have a history of mental ill health. The training is often co-delivered with our partner: Mental Health First and is bespoke to your business needs.
At any one time Aspiro will have a bank of up to 100 job ready customers looking for paid work, who combine a range of relevant skills with experience and have already been checked by us for Right to Work in the UK & a National Insurance number, plus we check they hold a bank account & current references.
All candidates for your vacancies will have been matched to the job role and personal requirements, plus they will have all undergone a work-health assessment to ensure that has far as possible the candidates will have the likelihood of future lapses into unwellness mitigated by a thorough check of their health needs and will be offered in work support. In work support is offered to all employers - a three-way relationship can help to ensure maximum employee performance.
