Aspiro is a not for profit social enterprise, providing end to end employment support for adults who are disadvantaged in accessing work or learning opportunities.
We have helped over 1,000 people to date and want to help another 1,000 residents but need to raise £13,000 urgently to keep Aspiro open. If you want to learn more and donate to our recently launched crowdfunding campaign visit www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/aspiro .
We provide advice and support for users of mental health services jointly with Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust - this is called the Mental Health Employment Service.
Our Careers Education Service in the Hinckley & Bosworth area for young people aged 16-24 who are not in Education, Employment or Training, is partly funded by the European Social Fund and Education & Skills Funding Agency. Delivered in partnership with Business2Business.
We also run the ZERO Project which recycles and upcycles business waste in Leicester City Centre and delivers a cost effective service and provides work & learning opportunities for Aspiro customers disadvantaged in finding employment.
We also have experience of providing specialised work and learning support to recovering substance users, ex-offenders, forensic mental health patients, as well as adults with a learning disability.
We believe every adult has the right to work.
Aspiro, based in Leicester city, provides a range of services across Leicestershire and Rutland and has helped 1000 local people. We met our #1000CustomerChallenge.
More than one third of Mental Health Employment Service customers find paid jobs and another (almost) half access volunteering, work placements, or learning opportunities, with 7 out of 10 still in the same employment at 6 months. Over 800 Aspiro customers have started work or learning opportunities with our assistance.
